Retire in Sedona Arizona
by Rick Rodreguez
Sedona is one of the most peaceful and beautiful places I have ever been. The climate, location, people and energy make many decide to retire in Sedona, Arizona.
I have visited Sedona numerous times over the years, and it continues to be one of my favorite places to escape and unwind. There is so much to do and to tell you, that I will choose just a few of my favorites with you.
For accommodations when visiting, I recommend the Briar Patch Inn. This is a bed and breakfast with individual private cabins. It is nestled in Oak Creek Canyon alongside the river full of nature and tranquility...you won't want to leave!
You must spend an afternoon in Tlaquepaque village. Plenty of unique shops, artwork and restaurants to keep you entertained all day long.
For the adventure types, take a ride on the original Pink Jeep Tour line or explore Sedona on foot on one of the over 130 hiking trails in the area.
Last, but not least, take a day trip to Jerome (approximately 30 miles from Sedona) which is truly one of the most unique places in the US. It was an old mining town turned ghost town that still today beats to its own drum.
